The Evergrove Vision

Our vision is more than just a method - it’s a future where after-life care is beautiful, healing, and regenerative for both people and the planet.

We call this vision The Evergrove.

After exploring all existing and emerging technologies in after-life care, we chose terramation as the most scalable, sustainable, and future-proof solution. Terramation creates clean earth, removing the limitations of burial, where land is restricted to designated cemeteries because of the presence of a body. Instead, terramation combines:

  • The efficient land use of cremation

  • The sacred tradition of returning to the earth in burial

  • The low environmental impact of natural burial, with greater regenerative potential

Our vision is rooted in the belief that the way we say goodbye can be a source of beauty, healing, and connection. For generations, we’ve laid flowers for those we’ve loved and lost. This simple yet powerful gesture demonstrates our connection to nature in grief. We see the end of our lives not just as a moment for reflection, but as an opportunity to build a living legacy that continues to grow. Evergrove guides families through a gentle, reflective process that honours their loved ones in a way that feels personal, meaningful, and comforting.

The Evergrove will create spaces where life and memory are seamlessly interwoven, helping families find a sense of peace during one of life’s most difficult moments. Through thoughtful planning, support during loss, and the creation of living memorials, families can celebrate lives in a way that continues to bring comfort for years to come. These memorials will become part of everyday spaces, where the trees, gardens, and flowers honouring our loved ones can thrive. In these spaces, conversations about life and legacy unfold naturally, making reflection and stories part of the healing process.

When we reflect on loss and life in natural surroundings, it feels as though our loved ones are still with us - their memory woven into the plants we see, the air we breathe, and the warmth of sunlight on our skin. Although their memory may be tied to special locations, their essence becomes part of an ecosystem that is everywhere at once, present in every corner of the natural world, forever lingering in the beauty of life itself.

The Evergrove represents not just our vision for after-life care, but a vision for what the future can and should look like - a world where memories, nature, and legacy are seamlessly connected, creating lasting beauty and renewal.

Life & Legacy Planning

Planning for the end of life is an opportunity to reflect on the legacy you wish to leave behind, making decisions that align with your values and wishes. At Evergrove, we believe these conversations should feel natural and life-affirming, not daunting. We help individuals and families consider how they want to be remembered, guiding them through choices that ensure their final act contributes to both personal meaning and environmental renewal.

Our living memorials, such as trees or gardens, integrate seamlessly into existing spaces, offering a way to reflect on legacy in a way that fits into everyday life. By planning ahead, you have the chance to make thoughtful decisions that honour both your loved ones and the planet.

Life before loss occurs

Navigating Loss

The period of time when loss is imminent or has just occurred

  • At the point of loss, Evergrove offers end-to-end grief support, guiding families through necessary decisions without feeling overwhelmed. We simplify the process by focusing on immediate steps, such as planning the funeral or celebration of life. With our sanctuaries providing a beautiful setting for these ceremonies, families can focus on saying goodbye without the pressure of making final memorialisation decisions right away.

  • Our sanctuaries are more than just facilities - they are tranquil, beautiful spaces designed to provide comfort, healing, and reflection. During the terramation process, which takes 60 to 90 days, families have the time and space to reflect. This extended period provides time for deep reflection, conversations with family members, and the opportunity to make thoughtful decisions about how best to honour a life lived. Loved ones can choose to visit throughout the transformation period.

  • We guide families through the process of creating a living memorial and manage all coordination. Whether it’s planting a tree, creating a garden, or contributing to a reforestation project, families can schedule a special time for this tribute if they wish. Memorialisation is a moment to reflect, celebrate, and ensure that a loved one’s legacy continues in a way that feels right.

Losing a loved one is an emotionally complex journey and we will be here to provide the support, flexibility, and guidance you need during this challenging time. Our approach is designed to help families navigate the process gently, offering space for reflection and meaningful choices throughout the journey.

Living Legacy

Once the process of terramation is complete, the legacy of a loved one lives on in nature. These living memorials - whether trees, gardens, or reforestation projects - become beautiful reminders of those we’ve lost. As part of the natural world, they create opportunities for ongoing reflection and conversation about life and legacy, turning spaces of remembrance into places of beauty and connection.

In addition to the personal impact, each living legacy contributes to environmental renewal by nourishing ecosystems, planting new life, and helping to restore the planet. These memorials offer families a lasting way to celebrate life, ensuring that the legacy of their loved one continues to grow and flourish.
